These terms cover Feather’s website, messaging, file storage, and desktop apps. Using Feather means accepting these terms and our Privacy policy.

Using Feather

You must be at least 18 and legally permitted to use the service. If you use Feather for an organization, you must have authority to accept these terms for it. You may use Feather subject to these terms and any applicable software licenses.

Your account and content

Keep your device and account key secure. We cannot replace a lost account key. You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for having permission to share it. You authorize us to handle its encrypted form to store and deliver it to recipients you choose. Shared links grant access to their holders; disabling access cannot remove copies already received.

Acceptable use

Do not use Feather for illegal content or conduct, child sexual exploitation, nonconsensual intimate images, credible threats, harassment, fraud, spam, or infringement of others’ rights. Do not distribute malware, bypass permissions, collect other users’ information without authorization, or disrupt the service. Group owners may set additional rules for their groups.

Reports and restrictions

Report misuse through Contact. Private encrypted content is not available to us for routine review. We can assess information voluntarily supplied in reports and may restrict access to address abuse, security risks, or legal obligations. Do not evade restrictions.

Pro and other services

Pro is $2.99 USD per month and renews until canceled through billing. Cancellation stops future renewals. Applicable taxes and any charges from your internet provider are your responsibility. Mandatory consumer and refund rights remain intact. Payment providers, external links, and authorized agents have their own terms; Feather does not control their services.

Availability and limits

Features and supported platforms may change, and outages or maintenance may interrupt access. Feather is not an emergency service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted delivery, complete anonymity, perfect security, or recovery of lost data. To the extent the law permits, the service is provided without additional warranties. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Leaving and updates

You may stop using Feather at any time. Logging out or uninstalling does not itself delete stored content or cancel a subscription. We will publish changes here and update the date. For questions, deletion requests, or disputes, contact us. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
